Author Guidelines
Footnotes should be numbered within the text in accordance with the format given in the Chicago Manual of Style, 15th ed. Name/date citation styles are not consistent with our journal format. For examples of the appropriate footnote style, refer to articles in this issue. Articles accepted for publication but not in conformance will be returned to the author for revision. Manuscripts should not exceed 7500 words, including footnotes.
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- This manuscript has not been published elsewhere and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- To preserve the advantages of anonymous reviewing, the author has avoided/removed self-identification in the text as well as in the footnotes of the manuscript.
Copyright Notice
Authors alone are responsible for securing permission for quotations from copyrighted materials or materials in private collections. (See entries under ?ÄúObtaining Permissions?Äù and ?ÄúRequesting Permissions?Äù in the Chicago Manual of Style, 15th ed.) Authors of accepted manuscripts are also expected to submit, or pay for the preparation of, camera-ready copy of figures or illustrations and to bear the cost of any special typography.
